We are thrilled to offer education not just for the children of our artisans but also for children in one of the most vulnerable communities of Honduras. We provide each child with nutrition, medical care, excellent education and teaching of God’s word.

From administrative assistants, teachers, assistant teachers, kitchen staff, and bus drivers, we seek to develop the intellectual and social skills of our children to their full potential. Most importantly, we introduce them to the hope of the Gospel… to a Savior that loves them, and has a plan and purpose for their life.

Tiny Hope Academy is fundamentally different from other schools in not only Siguatepeque, but most schools in Honduras. We implement a wholistic approach for our students… spiritually, physically, emotionally, and of course academically. We attempt to battle cycles of illiteracy and poverty that run deep in many of our Tiny Hope families.

First, we understand the importance of nutrition to body and brain development. Most of our students come from areas of extreme poverty, arriving to school hungry. Therefore, we feed them well balanced meals for both breakfast and lunch. We provide routine medical and dental care for our students, battling serious issues from tooth decay to parasites. Our teachers also take into account the emotional factors of poverty as they care for these children, from issues ranging from development to discipline. Further, traditional education in Honduras is often rote memorization and marked by lack of creativity. We attempt to education our children with a multisensory approach, fostering their creativity and inviting a love of learning. Lastly, our students are taught how deeply they are loved and cherished by Jesus Christ, and the HOPE found in God’s Word.

Parenting involvement is vital at Tiny Hope. We require some level of volunteer work from every family, even if only a few hours a month. We want them to feel welcome and comfortable on our campus, and not allow any shame at their own lack of education to interfere with support of their child’s educational process. We offer parenting classes, ranging from nutrition, discipline, to even understanding the ways their unique child receives love. We want to walk alongside the entire family as we work towards breaking cycles of illiteracy and poverty.

We invite you to be part of all the Lord is doing at Tiny Hope through these or another giving option:
